How To Install a Designer Rod

The mount height for the designer rod brackets is: the curtain hook drop plus 7cm. This gives you a 1cm floor clearance. This is measured from the floor to the clip on the front of the bracket.

Paradise designer rods are supplied with approximately 4cm additional length to fit the finials e.g a rod that is required to be 300cm is supplied as 304cm. To place the brackets, base your calculations on the 300cm size.

Measure half the rod width from the centre of the window (150cm) and install your first bracket. This bracket will have an angled stay attached to it. Divide up your remaining rod width and install all brackets except the final stayed bracket. Place your tape on the outside edge of the first installed stayed bracket, at the top, close to the wall and measure across the width of the rod (300cm). Position the final stayed bracket with the outside edge at the 300cm mark. Install this bracket at the correct height.

Position the rod to allow 2cm for the finial and then clip the rod onto the centre brackets by pushing the rod onto the brackets. Do not pull up or down on the brackets.

The rod is designed to move along the brackets, therefore the end brackets need to be installed as close as possible to the final screw which is located at each end of the rod.

If the rod is cord drawn, then a secure cord guide must be installed
